THE JOINT-STOCK COMPANY BRNĚNSKÉ VODÁRNY A KANALIZACE (HEREUNDER „BVK"), THE MAIN MISSION OF WHICH IS TO SUPPLY DRINKING WATER AND COLLECT WASTEWATER IN THE BVK SERVICE AREA, IS A SUCCESSOR TO BRNĚNSKÁ VODOVODNÍ AKCIOVÁ SPOLEČNOST OPERATING IN THE CITY OF BRNO SINCE 1872. THESE HISTORIC ROOTS HAVE ESTABLISHED WHAT IS NOW MORE THAN A ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY YEAR LASTING TRADITION OF PROVIDING GOOD QUALITY WATER MANAGEMENT SERVICES, WHICH IS AN IMMENSE COMMITMENT FOR THE NEXT GENERATIONS OF WATER SYSTEM OPERATORS TO COME. BEING AWARE OF ITS RESPONSIBILITIES TO PURSUE THIS TRADITION, THE MANAGEMENT OF BVK HAVE DECIDED TO INTRODUCE THE INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (ISM) IN A SCOPE OF THE  ČSN EN ISO 9001, ČSN EN ISO 14001 AND ČSN OHSAS 18001 STANDARDS.
BVK PHILOSOPHY DECLARED OPENLY TOWARDS THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND ITS EMPLOYEES IS TO:
•             PROVIDE GOOD QUALITY AND RELIABLE SERVICES TO THE PUBLIC
•             RESPONSIBLE RELATION TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY AT WORK
•             RESPONSIBLE ASSET MANAGEMENT
•             ENHANCE THE QUALIFICATION AND MOTIVATION OF EMPLOYEES
•             INFORM THE PUBLIC
•             USE THE ADVANTAGES OF MARKET ECONOMY
THE AFORESAID PHILOSOPHY HAS BEEN SPELLED OUT IN THE DOCUMENT „CORPORATE CULTURE" THAT INDICATES BEYOND ANY DOUBT THAT THE MANAGEMENT OF BVK STEADILY PUT FIRST THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, RELATION TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY AT WORK.  BEING AWARE OF THE AFFECTS OF THESE MATTERS ON THE IMAGE AND PROSPERITY OF THE COMPANY, THE MANAGEMENT OF BVK IS COMMITTED TO:

•          MAINTAIN AND KEEP PERFECTING THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ESTABLISHED MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS,
•          PUBLISH INFORMATION ABOUT THOSE COMPANY‘S OPERATIONS THAT AFFECT THE QUALITY AND  ENVIRONMENT.
BY THE SAME TOKEN, THE MANAGEMENT OF BVK DECLARE THAT IT WILL BE ACTIVELY ESTABLISHING AND ENSURING FINANCIAL, HUMAN AND MATERIAL RESOURCES TO MEET THE AFORESAID COMMITMENT AS WELL AS THE CONDITIONS OF THIS POLICY. IN DOING SO, THE MANAGEMENT RELY ON THE LOYALTY OF EACH AND EVERY EMPLOYEE OF THE COMPANY, THEIR KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCE AND SKILLS AND UNDERTAKE TO PROMOTE THEIR DEVELOPMENT IN A SYSTEMATIC WAY.
